About Me

This is Divya Subramanian. I am a foodie. I like trying out various cuisines of vegetarian food. I also like eating roadside food and I am a chat freak. :) Like most of the girls nowadays i was only concerned about what is on my plate and never thought about how it's made. My Mom is an amazing cook, so i never had a chance to venture out in the kitchen. It is only after marriage that I even got a chance to cook. I consider myself an amateur in the art of cooking. But I feel anyone with interest and passion can master it very easily. Afterall, there is no love more sincere than the love of food :-)

Whenever I eat out in a restaurant, if I happen to taste something exquisite or different I always make it a point to put a word of appreciation to the chef. I believe that nothing like a hearty appreciation would encourage a cook and make his day.

I know building a book of recipes is a collective and continuous effort. My childhood friend Swathi from bangalore is also an active contributor especially in the baking section of my blog. You can share your innovative and interesting recipes with pics and your details so that I can post it to share your cooking experience to others reading this blog.

My Hobbies...

Apart from cooking , I enjoy singing and listening to music. I am also interested in making Teracotta Jewellery which is something I picked up recently.

Why I started this blog...

When I started to cook after marriage, I had no clue about cooking. "Samaithu Paar" by Meenakshi Ammal and a couple of other books gifted by my friends were the only source of reference. Gradually I started to try many recipes from online with my preferred variations in ingredients . I have learnt many tips from my cooking and also from others experience which they have shared. So I decided to document my inference and share my tips so that it will help many beginners in cooking.

Your suggestions and feedbacks are always welcome as it'll motivate me to experiment and post new recipes.
